Madness (Gone Mad Mix) - Geezer B:
Madness (Stessford World Of Strange mix) - Charlie Don't Surf
and Igor Fahrenheit
Remix
of DDR's Madness by Geezer one side & Havok crew on the
reverse both mixes are top & dare I say it I think are
more pumping than the original - this stays in the box for
a while!

Eating Chinese B:
The Hero
Worthy
release from my personal fav Tech producer Guy Mcaffer working
with Mark Tyler. If you need a powerful & moody track
to stoke up the power on the dance floor, this is wild - well
produced & haunting, this raises elemental energies well.
(Chinese elemental?) - you decide. Then computer data bionic
transmissions kickin halfway to bring the old energies right
up to date. The b side is bouncy with a nice robotic vocal
+ lovely bass drop - that reminds me of a fav Brainfuel release
I liked hammering at some of the Ilkley Parties a few years
back. Its got a ;ong break though - that kicks in well - but
make sure every one has been pumping for a whiie to allow
them to ride the break.

Casing The Joint
Chris
Liberator & Ben Belafonic deliver a nice shuffly acid
trance to get lost into on the A side. The flip takes a while
to build and is best used if the crowd look like the need
a breather - not a track I think I'll get much mileage out
of.

Dreamin
The
A side starts a bit pacey house with a "Workyour body"
black female sample thrown in - then later on is infected
by an old skool rave warped riff - quite pumping but not the
full ticket for me. The B side though is really fuckin nice
- Deep tech house with "Ever had that feeling when your
not sure if you're awake or still dreaming?" vocal line
- this is THE Bomb. Watch the dance floor get injected with
energy + smiles when this one drops! Wicked.

We Aren't The Robots
C: Batting Practice
D: Buried Alive
Four
track double pack from one of our favourite techno producers
with a picture cover to allow for easy location in a sardine
packed record box. Pretty meaty release this and may well
find itself travelling with me for some time yet. Track A
features a vocal sample for a female fronted indie band with
Blur connections but the dark and powerful backing takes this
onto another level completely. In fact this conjures up some
powerful forces on a dancefloor so use it wisely.

70mph (wheel lock mix) AA:
Disturbance (do not disturb mix)
Disappointing
remix release this time with a distortio mix of 70mph done
by the Fabulous 23's and a mix of Disturbance this time by
the Speaker Pimps - I don't think there is anything on here
to justify playing either of these instead of the originals
- the Disturbance mix is possibly useful but I'm sure most
DJ's would plump for the Vibe Bar Version every time.

3 Day Illegal Rave Party from Hell AA:
Comfortably Numb
Punk
Floyd fuckin' storm it with two acid tracks from their forthcoming
album "The Mullet". No problem on the floor when
you drop either of these, but the K influenced tends to do
it slightly more for me anyway. The A side stems from a report
in the Evening Standard about a Teknival in Kingston - nuff
said.

A:
Ghost Town AA:
What the Fuck is Going on?
Joe
Young delivers a nice slice of pleasantly dark acid techno
with the A side containing a twisted syth sound that reminds
me of some of the Hawkwind experiments by Dr Technical. The
AA is whipped up dirty 303 with grunts n voices lying inside
the groove, pretty storming for the harder edged set.
Lawrie
Immersion & Jim from Subway Records go on a dark one this
time on Smitten for the A side. Though the flip, Vodka Blindness
has much more grind and a mechanical funk within its grooves
- you've got to go with it but it can get you, (2nd time round
for me). Not an instant crowd-pleaser but can do the business
if well placed in a set...
